Not every office will suffer from high temperatures all year round, many offices will in fact suffer from low temperatures due to building construction and other factors. With most new air conditioning systems being heat pumps they do both cooling and heating (HVAC), and so will cater for your requirements all year round.

Commercial Air Conditioning Systems

There are many types of system available to you and each of these systems can have different types of internal fan coils. Below are a few of the system types listed from small to large.

  • Split system – has one external condensing unit and one internal evaporator fan coil, connected by one pipe run and supplying one open area to one temperature set point.
  • Twin, triple and double twin split system – has one external condensing unit and two, three or four internal evaporator fan coils, connected by one branched pipe run and supplying one open area to one temperature set point.
  • Multi split system – has one external condensing unit and numerous internal evaporator fan coils, connected by either one branched pipe run with control boxes or numerous single pipe runs and supplying numerous separate areas to numerous separate set points with the system fan coils in either heating or cooling.
  • Heat pump VRV/VRF system – has one or multi condensing units connected and numerous internal fan coils, connected by one branched pipe run and supplying numerous separate areas to numerous separate set points with the system fan coils in either heating or cooling.
  • Heat recovery VRV/VRF system – has one or multi condensing units connected and numerous internal fan coils, connected by one branched pipe run with refrigerant control boxes and supplying numerous separate areas to numerous separate set points with the system able to have fan coils heating and cooling simultaneously.

In addition to the listed system types above there are also numerous different types of fan coils to choose from. Ceiling cassette units, ceiling concealed ducted units, under ceiling units, wall mounted units, floor mounted units, concealed floor mounted units to name just a few.
